Microsoft is moving from a traditional control panel setting and providing services instead. Removing and uninstalling a program in previous versions of OS with few steps. Moving to the control panel and uninstall a program. But now since Windows 10, thing change to services instead and people getting crazy to just find simple uninstall program button.
Control panel instead Windows 10 is an App now. You can still find uninstall a program feature within control panel settings. But Microsoft is trying to move the navigation to another part of the OS which is services. And these services are accessible right from the desktop icon. However, the following contents let you guide to go through all possible options. So you can reach to target to uninstall a program from Windows10.
Uninstall a program from control panel Windows 10
Follow the steps to uninstall any software you installed previously. However, you can’t see any App of Windows 10 store here. Follow the Windows Settings App feature to see the list of App and remove it. Software uninstalls using the control panel from Windows10, follow the steps below.
- Press the Windows key and type Control Panel
- Click the Control panel from the search result
- Under the program, click Uninstall a program
- Select the program and click on Uninstall button
- Confirm the action to proceed uninstallation
Press the Windows key and start typing is acting to instantly to show App, feature, settings and another search. To get quick access to the Control panel, just start typing “Control” and getting result in the best match as App to open.

Uninstall a Program or App from Windows Settings feature
- Click on the notification icon on taskbar down-left corner
- From notification slide, click on the All Settings gear button
- Click the Apps to open Apps & Features
- Select the App and click the Uninstall button
- Confirm the action to start uninstalling App or Program
Using Windows 10, you can always open different features from different places on the desktop. For instance, you can press Windows key to start typing settings and feature name to appear. However, the quick way to navigate from the notification icon and click on All Settings.
In the All Settings features page, find the Apps. The App icon listing the App to uninstall, default and optional features. Click the Apps under All Settings.

For instance, you can filter all the app datewise filter list. After you find the App or program, the Uninstall button appears to click under the App.

Wait for the uninstalling process to finish. After that, the App is completely deleted from the list of App & Features. Furthermore, if the App is needed back to a user, then new installation needs to perform.
Search Program and App through filters
Some users having many Apps and programs on Windows 10 and are unable to distinguish the difference. Therefore, you can use a filter to search for a specific program. The filter option includes the followings:
- Sort by: Name, Size, and the Install date
- Filter by: In All Drives or Specific Drive.
Sometimes the user moves the installation to proceed in another drive than C. Later, the user doesn’t remember, which program/app goes to which drive. Thus the option to use the filter by All Drives or Specific one.
